Cost
The DVDs produced by Keigan Productions are made without any preproduction cost to the instructor being videotaped. Keigan Productions covers the cost of making the original DVD, excluding traveling expenses.

Approval by Instructor before release of DVD
Each DVD is reviewed and approved by the instructor before it is released to the general public.

Replication and Marketing
Replication and marketing of the DVD(s) is under the control and is paid for by the instructor or by Keigan Productions. We encourage the use of a reputable online company such as createspace.com to help with this work if the instructor chooses to have control of distribution of the DVD.

Income
Net profit income generated by sales of a DVD is split 50/50 by the instructor and Keigan Productions if the instructor controls replication and marketing. If Kegan Productions is involved here, the split is 60/40, with Keigan Productions receiving the 60% of the income.

Location
Videotaping is located at Aikido of Diablo Valley in Concord, CA. or at another location of mutual satisfaction.

Who We Will Videotape
Keigan Productions is open to suggestions on whom to videotape. Instructors, however, should be of the 'Second' or 'Third Generation' i.e. sensei who trained directly with O-Sensei, or those sensei who trained with the deshi who trained with O-Sensei. This includes, of course, all present styles and approaches. It also includes those sensei who have taken Aikido off the mat and taught its philosophy and concepts to the public. Priority will be given to those sensei who are senior in age.

DVD and Videotape Copyright
Keigan Productions owns the copyright to all videotapes and DVDs produced, in perpetuity.

Contract

A written contract is involved so that all aspects of this agreement are clear, understood and agreed upon by all parties involved.
